We’re super excited to be attending Anime Cons this year. In the past, we’ve attended many food and drink related events and Japanese festivals, but had yet to attend anime and gaming conventions. So, this year we’re changing that!

Anime Cons are a celebration of everything to do with and related to anime, like comic cons celebrate comics and everything related to them. Anime cons host a wide variety of related activities and performances, which might even include comics! Yet, there’s much more of a focus on anime and Japanese entertainment than you’ll see at comic cons. At anime cons, anime, manga, anime-inspired performances, and guests like anime voice actors take front and centre.

Anime Cons We're Attending in 2022

This list will be updated as more are confirmed! So far, all of our confirmed events are with animeleague. Here are the anime cons we’re booked into:

Cardiff Anime and Gaming Con (23rd-24th April)

This event is taking place in Cardiff University Student Union and has a whole range of activities to keep you entertained throughout the whole day.

From guests, to cosplay competitions, to J-pop performances, to card gaming, video gaming and tabletop gaming!  So, there’s something for everyone, no matter your interests! There are also anime viewings, so you can watch your favourite anime along with people that love it just as much as you do.

It’s open 10am-8pm Saturday and 11am-6pm on Sunday with late night events such as karaoke in the evenings after 6pm. Plus, you can purchase tickets for one day or both to suit what’s convenient for you!

Manchester Anime and Gaming Con (2nd-3rd July)

This event was postponed from April, but we’re still just as excited for it to take place in the summer, especially since we’re a Manchester-based business!

This event has many great guests including anime voice actors and performers, and is partnership with CrunchyRoll,  Steins;Gate, and Bolso Anime.

Liverpool Anime and Gaming Con (15th-16th October)

Like Cardiff Anime and Gaming Con, this event is organised by animeleague and takes place on a university campus! You’ll find this event at Liverpool Guild of Students.

Since this event is in October, guests are yet to be announced but may include a range of people from Cosplayers, to Performers, to YouTube Stars, to Voice Actors. We can only wait and see!
